OUR MISSION
La Fuente Eye Clinic exists to to provide high quality healthcare with compassion to the region of Cusco, Peru. We believe that every human being has tremendous innate value, being created in the image of God. This means that all of our patients are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion, regardless of who they are or where they have come from.
We, as the medical providers at La Fuente Eye Clinic, believe that we have been blessed by God, and we want our patients to experience medical care that reflects our gratitude and our desire to see them healthy and whole. We provide the highest level of care that we can to every person that walks through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay for our services.
OUR STORY
La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral is a Christian non-profit healthcare clinic located in the city of Cusco, Peru. We offer services in the areas of ophthalmology, optometry, dentistry, adult medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, psychology, physical therapy, clinical laboratory, and pharmacy. La Fuente is staffed by Peruvian nationals as well as international volunteers. We share a love for Christ, an awareness of His inexhaustible grace for us, and a passion for seeing the city of Cusco and its surrounding areas redeemed for the glory of God

Our Founders
Dr. Henson is a board certified ophthalmologist and the director and CEO of La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral. He worked to establish the eye clinic at La Fuente and has been practicing there in Cusco for the past 8 years. He lives in Cusco with his wife Kristen, and his three children Lucas, Noah, and Silas. Dr. Henson serves as the president of La Fuente’s board of directors.

Dr. Wilson is a board certified pediatrician and a member of the board of directors at La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral. Dr. Wilson has served as the clinic director for the past 7 years and continues to actively involved through is work on the board of directors. Dr. Wilson and his wife Audrey are parents of 5 children: Jacob, Joshua, Peter, Lydia, and John.

Dr. Dubose is a board certified dentist and member of the board of directors at La Fuente. He serves as the director of the dental department at La Fuente and has grown the department significantly over the past two years. Dr. Dubose serves in Cusco with his wife Cindy and his three children Emma, Bowden, and Blakely.

Dr. Becker is a Peruvian ophthalmologist and director of the refractive laser service at La Fuente. Dr. Becker completed his ophthalmology training at Hospital Dr. Elias Santana in the Dominican Republic and has served at La Fuente for the past 2 years following residency.

Dr. Zamaniego is a Peruvian optometrist and the director of personnel at La Fuente Eye Clinic. Dr. Zamaniego is completing an additional masters degree in Colombia at Universidad La Salle.
